Job Summary

Wedding and Events Catering Manager - Part Time

Portfolio Events are one of the region’s leading events caterers and after a successful year we are now recruiting for talented and dedicated professional events managers to work on a part time basis over weekends and the occasional weekday should you be available.

Tasks included in the job role:

  • Managing a team of hospitality staff to provide professional and efficient catering service.
  • Direct communication with our client ‘on the day of the event’
  • Good communication & building relationships with our venues.
  • Working directly with a team of chefs, being proactive and reactive to catering requirements.
  • A good knowledge of catering health & hygiene procedures
  • Management of a bar service – including responsibility of cash floats and till systems
  • Setup & De rig of venues
  • Coordination of logistics pre-event with our warehouse team.
  • Approve all aspects before the day of the event.
  • Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur.
  • Analyse the event’s success and report feedback to all departments.
  • Admin Tasks – including emails & phone calls to clients, basic use of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
