Grill Chef – Food Trucks & Restaurant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Grill Chef to join The Flavour Trailer team.

This is a varied role involving work across our food trucks and different kitchens, as well as taking responsibility for running the restaurant kitchen on Sundays. You will need to be versatile, organised and able to adapt quickly to different working environments.

We’re looking for someone to start within the next few weeks. Full training on our menu, systems and ways of working will be provided, but applicants must have some previous kitchen experience and feel confident working in a busy service environment.

Tips are approximately £1–£2 per hour on top of your normal wage.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook burgers, grilled dishes and other menu items to our specifications.
  • Work across our food trucks, restaurant and other kitchen locations when required.
  • Take responsibility for running the restaurant kitchen on Sundays.
  • Set up and manage the grill station during busy services.
  • Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion control.
  • Coordinate with other team members to keep orders moving accurately and on time.
  • Follow all food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures.
  • Keep the kitchen, equipment and workstations clean and organised.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages.
  • Adapt quickly to different kitchens, menus and service demands.
  • Support the wider team before, during and after service.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working in a kitchen.
  • Confidence working with a grill during busy services.
  • A reliable, flexible and positive approach.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organisation and food quality.
  • Willingness to work across different locations and kitchens.
  • Availability to work Sundays.
