GoSing is a busy Cantonese takeaway in the heart of Bingham, connected to our long-established family restaurant, Yeung Sing.

We are looking for someone special to take ownership of our takeaway operation and help us build the next chapter of GoSing.

This isn't simply a role for someone to stand behind the counter and manage a shift.

We want someone who can help us make GoSing known for being reliable, efficient and caring — getting orders right, getting hot food to customers on time, developing a young team and creating an operation that stays calm and controlled when it gets busy.

The role
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of GoSing, including:

• Leading and controlling busy takeaway shifts
• Making sure orders are accurate, hot and on time
• Coordinating the kitchen, packing team, phones and delivery drivers
• Spotting delays or problems before they reach the customer
• Training, coaching and motivating our mainly young team
• Building a culture of teamwork, kindness, responsibility and pride
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and preventing cross-contamination
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
• Managing stock, waste and operating costs
• Handling customer issues calmly and finding solutions
• Improving systems and finding more efficient ways of working
• Helping us rebuild GoSing's reputation for reliability and great service

Who we're looking for
You don't necessarily need to come from a Chinese takeaway background.

You may have experience in restaurants, fast food, hospitality, retail or another busy operation where you have had to lead people and stay in control.

More importantly, we're looking for someone who:

• Takes ownership rather than waiting to be told
• Notices problems and acts on them
• Can lead and motivate young people
• Is organised and calm under pressure
• Understands that small details matter
• Cares about food quality and customer experience
• Understands food hygiene and cross-contamination
• Can balance great service with labour, stock and waste control
• Is willing to work alongside the team rather than simply manage from the side
• Wants to improve a business and can bring ideas of their own

Hours

GoSing operates Tuesday to Sunday, mainly during the evening.

Typical management shifts are approximately 4pm–10pm.

We are looking for someone able to work a minimum of four shifts per week, with five to six shifts preferred.

Friday and Saturday evening availability will be important.
