Sous Chef wanted for countryside location.

This is an extremely busy Cafe/Restaurant which runs a fresh menu using top quality ingredients, including meat from our own farm and butchery counter.

We are looking for a Sous Chef with the relevant experience and enthusiasm to strongly assist with the running of our extremely busy Kitchen. A great advantage is that you will be well supported by an excellent Head Chef who knows how to lead by example, but due to personal reasons is looking to hire a wing man/woman. There are 5 other long term Commis in our team (Part time and full time).

Our menu champions and showcases homemade produce, including crumpets, pretzel rolls, buns, tea cakes, flat breads and focaccias.

Our Cafe/Restaurant can be unpredictable at times (quiet to suddenly packed), therefore we need someone with the ability to work fast whilst remaining professional and approachable.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious hands on individual who isn't work shy. Someone who wants to come in to an already thriving department, and to make an impression that excites their team. It is would also be a great opportunity for someone who has a long term goal of achieving a Head Chef position.

Requirements:

- Relevant Experience & Qualifications.

- Organisational skills, including prep, ordering and stock management.

- Health & Hygiene Management

- Team Leadership

- Fit & Healthy, as this is a physically demanding role

Monday - Saturday; 9am - 4pm / If working a 'Pop Up' this may occasionally include a Friday 5 - 9pm.
