Full job description

The beautiful Haweswater Hotel is hiring a general assistant. This is a full time role but we can also accommodate part time should you be local.

The Haweswater Hotel is a small and unique 1930's art deco Hotel in a stunning secluded part of the Lake District. We are the only hotel by the Haweswater Reservoir, surrounded by nature and wildlife.

The hotel offers beautiful uninterrupted views of the Haweswater Valley, ideal for those who love the outdoors.

We have 17 bedrooms, a restaurant and a bar.

General Assistants will help us on different shifts (we are flexible and can adapt the shifts to your availability):

  • Waiting tables
  • Welcoming guests to the hotel
  • Answering the phone and replying to emails
  • Engaging with guests to make their experience extra special
  • Supporting the front of house and kitchen needed during extra busy times (you might be required to wash dishes or support housekeeping when needed).

Its recommended that you have access to your own transport as our location is approximately 13 miles from the nearest town and 5 miles to the local shop there is no access via public transport.
