Full job description

The Old Bank is an independent Cafe Bar, located in the heart of Ramsbottom Town Centre. We are a small, friendly team serving breakfast, lunch and coffee during the day and we become a lively bar in the evening with drinks, casual food, events and entertainment.

We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic assistant manager to join our management team, assisting with the day to day running and the continued development of the business. This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys being at the heart of a busy hospitality business, working closely with the wider management team and having meaningful input into how the business is run. There is particular scope to bring your own ideas to the role, whether that’s ideas for promotions, events or new ways to make the customer experience even better. We also have a fantastic upstairs space with its own bar and interactive darts, offering lots of potential to introduce new ideas and build on what we already offer.

The role will include:

  • Supporting the smooth day to day running of the venue
  • Opening and closing the venue and taking responsibility for shifts
  • Helping to train, motivate and develop team members
  • Supporting stock management, ordering and general operational tasks
  • Helping to plan and deliver events, offers and promotions
  • Supporting the promotion of the venue and helping us continually improve the customer experience
  • Dealing confidently and professionally with customers and any issues that arise
  • Working closely with the management team to identify opportunities to grow and develop the business

We’re looking for somebody who is personable, dependable and confident leading a team, with previous experience in hospitality. Supervisory or management experience within a bar, restaurant, café or similar environment would be particularly valuable. Above all, we’re looking for someone who takes pride in what they do, enjoys creating a great atmosphere for customers and wants to become an important part of a small independent business.

If you’re looking for a management role where you can have genuine input, become a valued part of our small team and help shape what we do next, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a full time position with a salary of £29,000–£31,000 per annum. Salary is negotiable within this range depending on experience, and we’re happy to discuss this with the right candidate.

Pay: £29,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
