Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to gain experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Support chefs in cooking processes, including chopping, mixing, and cooking various dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Help with the serving of meals during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
  • Participate in catering events as required, contributing to menu planning and execution.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, particularly in catering or restaurants, is highly desirable.
