FOH Assistant (Part-Time, Permanent) – Stansted Park
Location: Rowlands Castle, Hampshire (Near Chichester/Portsmouth)
Hours: Part-time, daytime only. Must include every Sunday.
Salary: Dependent on age + equal share of team tips

About Us:
Set within the stunning grounds of Stansted Park, The Pavilion is a bustling, high-volume tearoom located inside a beautifully restored Victorian glasshouse. Looking out over a beautiful walled garden, we seat up to 120 guests inside and 100 outside. We are incredibly proud of our fresh, homemade, cooked-to-order breakfasts, light lunches, Afternoon Teas, and locally sourced food, alongside artisan coffees served by our trained Baristas.

We are a 7-day operation looking for a reliable, permanent member of the team. Because of our beautiful rural location, having your own transport is essential.

The Role:
As a Front of House Assistant, you will work as part of our team to deliver an exceptional, warm, and seamless experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Welcome and seat guests, take reservations, confidently describe our menu and daily specials, and handle customer feedback professionally.
  • Table Service: Take orders, serve food and drinks with a high standard of hospitality, manage designated Afternoon Tea and group tables, and efficiently process payments using our EPOS system.
  • FOH Operations: Maintain immaculate cleanliness across indoor and outdoor seating areas, clear tables quickly, and assist with special events.
  • Food & Beverage Prep: Prepare and date cakes according to our Cake Guide, manage the presentation and stock rotation of the cake cabinet, log wastage, and undergo Barista training to craft excellent espresso-based drinks.
  • Health & Safety: Uphold strict food safety and COSHH standards, completing all necessary training.

  • A super friendly personality, a big smile, and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability and a commitment to working every Sunday.
  • Own transport is essential due to our rural location.
