Chef de Partie – The Horse and Jockey, Chorlton

From the team behind The Black Friar, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join the team at The Horse and Jockey, a much-loved Chorlton landmark returning to the heart of the community.

Our kitchen will focus on fresh, seasonal dishes with a menu that evolves regularly. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled chef to work with quality ingredients in a professional environment, contributing ideas and maintaining high standards throughout service.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering a fresh, seasonal menu.
  • Take responsibility for your section, ensuring prep and service run smoothly.
  • Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Contribute ideas for specials and seasonal changes.
  • Work as part of a team to create a positive, professional kitchen culture.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, or strong experience as a Demi CDP/Commis ready to step up.
  • Solid culinary skills with a rounded knowledge of food.
  • A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal cooking.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
  • Strong team ethic and a desire to develop your skills further.
