Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bank Chef to oversee the preparation and presentation of high-quality food within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food production, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. The Bank Chef will play a vital part in maintaining the organisation’s reputation for excellence in hospitality and cuisine.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
  • Oversee daily food production, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
  • Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes
  • Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and allergen control measures
  • Coordinate with Care teams to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock control
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
  • Assist in the organisation of special events or banquets as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area

Experience

  • Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
  • Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively
  • Previous experience working in a hospitality or restaurant setting is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a commercial kitchen
  • Experience in menu development, culinary innovation, and restaurant operations is advantageous
  • Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles within a culinary context
