Manager- The Tea Rooms Wine Bar & The Little Bear Birkdale

Starting Salary: £35,000 per year

The Tea Rooms Wine Bar & The Little Bear In Birkdale is looking for an experienced and motivated Manager to lead our evening operations and ensure every guest enjoys an outstanding experience.

This is a hands-on management role, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy hospitality environment, enjoys leading a team, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

About the Role

As Manager, you will take responsibility for the smooth running of the venue during evening service, ensuring high standards are maintained while creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the venue throughout evening trading hours.
  • Lead, motivate and support the front-of-house team.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve any customer concerns professionally.
  • Ensure the bar and venue operate efficiently and safely.
  • Oversee cash handling and end-of-night procedures.
  • Maintain stock levels and communicate ordering requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and company policies.
  • Lead by example, maintaining high standards of service and presentation.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous management or supervisory experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
  • Is confident leading a team during busy evening service.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Is reliable, proactive, and able to make decisions under pressure.
  • Has a passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Holds a personal licence (preferred but not essential).
