Grow your career with Verdant Parks
At Verdant Parks, we know that a fantastic holiday starts with well-maintained surroundings and safe, welcoming grounds. That’s why we’re looking for a Grounds & Site Maintenance Team Member who takes pride in the essentials: keeping our parks tidy, functional, and visually appealing. From maintaining outdoor areas and facilities to ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, your work will be crucial in creating a seamless, enjoyable experience for our guests.
If you’re ready to join a refreshed, modern, and fast-paced environment where your effort truly makes a difference, this could be the perfect next step for you.
Salary: £8.85 for 16–17-year-olds, £12.71 for 18+
Contract Type: Seasonal
Hours: Variable hours
Location: Ballintium Holiday Park, Blairgowrie, PH10 7NH
Our Grounds & Site Maintenance team are the hands-on heroes of the park—keeping everything safe, tidy, and looking its best. From well-kept gardens and play areas to holiday homes, decking, and facilities, you’ll make sure our guests enjoy a welcoming environment from the moment they arrive. Whether it’s siting caravans, fixing decking, mowing lawns, or keeping paths clear, no two days are the same.
We’re looking for someone practical, reliable, and ready to get stuck in. Experience in a similar maintenance or grounds role is ideal, but if you’ve got the right attitude and are quick to learn, we’ll give you the support you need. Skills such as joinery, plumbing, or landscaping are a big advantage. You’ll need to be organised, hardworking, and comfortable working outdoors in all weathers. A valid driving licence is essential.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Maintaining all grounds, gardens, play areas, and public spaces to a high standard
- Repairing and landscaping pitches, including decking, patios, and paths
- Assisting with siting and de-siting caravans and lodges
- Safely operating and maintaining mowers, tools, and equipment
- Keeping walkways, fields, and facilities clean, clear, and litter-free
- Ensuring the park always looks attractive, welcoming, and safe for guests and owners
The ideal candidate will have:
- A clean, valid driving licence
- Previous experience in grounds or site maintenance (experience siting caravans is desirable)
- Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, or general maintenance
- Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- A hardworking, flexible attitude with a commitment to exceeding customer expectations
- Willingness to support the wider park team and adapt as needed
A wonderful place to work:
When you join Team Verdant you will be working in a fun and collaborative environment. You can also take advantage of some fantastic benefits including:
- Last minute park breaks from only £109;
- Up to 30% off park breaks for you, your friends and your family;
- Discounted use of facilities on park, including restaurants, leisure and activities;
- An annual 'Verdant Experience' - book a break at one of our parks and experience a Verdant holiday as a customer. There is no charge for this break, we simply ask that you make the most of it and give us your honest feedback afterwards!
- Many opportunities for recognition and reward - monthly 'Stars' awards, annual awards for individuals and park teams, 'Cheers for Peers' cards, and any excuse for cakes, biscuits and celebrations!;
- Our company wide team initiatives to help each other, our communities and the planet - Green Champions, Charity Champions, Mental Health Champions;
- A commitment to providing training & development opportunities, recognising potential and supporting you in your career.
