About Us:

The Blue Pelican is a buzzy neighbourhoud restaurant by the sea with big ambitions. Our menu uses the finest seasonal, local produce we can get our hands on to deliver dishes Japanese in style and big on flavour, all served to an exceptional standard.

We’ve received national acclaim from leading critics, including Grace Dent of The Guardian, who wrote, “I was smitten with The Blue Pelican,” and William Sitwell of The Telegraph, who called it “a most fabulous achievement” and put us in his top 5 restaurants on the year.

We’re located in a handsome townhouse on the seafront of Deal, a skip to the high street and 5 minutes from the train station.

Our services - currently Friday dinner, Saturday lunch + dinner and Sunday lunch - are nice and buzzy with a good mix of local neighbourhood vibes and those that have travelled from afar.

The Role:

We’re looking for someone passionate about food, wine and hospitality, with a great personality and excellent leadership skills. You will be working with our head chef Luke Green and a small FOH team, to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Competitive salary, staff perks and discounts, training and room to grow.

Our restaurant manager will need to set up and run each of our weekend shifts, along with a few hours during the week to take care of FOH ordering, reservations, emails etc.
