Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full time Front of House Team Member to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. You will be responsible for managing customer interactions, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. We are a small country pub providing excellent food and friendly service.

Starting hours approx 30 once trained including weekends as standard. Shift patterns vary.

Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests with a friendly attitude, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate.
  • Assist in food preparation and ensure that all dishes are presented according to our culinary standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining spaces and service counters.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any customer needs or concerns promptly.
  • Manage cash handling procedures accurately during transactions.

Skills

  • Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of culinary practices and food safety regulations is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is an advantage.
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and order calculations.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being proactive in assisting others when needed.

Necessities:

  • 18 years+
  • 1+ years hospitality experience as front of house- wait staff, bartender
  • Own transportation and ability to drive
  • Permanent position 6+ months verbal commitment

Pay of £12.71 for 21 years old plus. Wages for other ages will vary and is subject to discussion.
