Location: Estuary Retail Park, Wadebridge
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (Approx. 35 hours per week)
Working Pattern: 4-day week with weekend shifts on a rota (including Saturdays and Sundays)

The Role

We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at our Estuary Shop in Wadebridge.

You'll help prepare fresh food to a high standard while maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen. This is a varied role in a busy environment where you'll work closely with the team to ensure products are prepared safely and efficiently.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare fresh hot and cold filled rolls.
  • Assist with preparing deli recipes.
  • Breakfast service (cooked English breakfast etc)
  • Bake pasties and other pastries (holiday cover).
  • Maintain high food hygiene and quality standards.
  • Keep kitchen and production areas clean and organised.
  • Safely operate industrial ovens and kitchen equipment.
  • Support the wider team with other kitchen duties as required.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and dependable.
  • Able to work weekends on a rota basis, including Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Flexible to provide additional cover during holidays and sickness.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Able to work well as part of a team.
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
