What the Role Actually Is

This is a hands-on, high-standard pub job in a small, bustling micro pub. Despite being a very small pub, we are the highest ranked under “nightlife” in west malling. We have two main priorities, the quality of our real ale and our customer service.

Please read to the end of our description to ensure that your application includes what is required.

High Standards & Expectations

We are proudly known in our community for our outstanding customer service, flawless table service, and efficiency. Because of this reputation, we hold our team to exceptionally high standards:

  • Proactive & Initiative-Driven: You don't wait to be told what to do. If a table needs clearing, a customer needs a top-up, or the bar needs stocking, you jump straight on it.
  • Hospitality Experience: While previous pub work isn't strictly necessary, prior experience in customer service or hospitality is strongly preferred. If you have no prior hospitality experience, in your application please explain why your personality and skills make you a perfect fit for this environment.
  • Consistently High Energy: Whether behind the bar or out on the floor, you bring enthusiasm, attentiveness, and a warm, engaging personality to every shift.

  • A confident, outgoing person who thrives in a social setting and loves talking to people.
  • Above the age of 16
  • Someone with a sharp memory for faces, names, and drink preferences.
  • A hard worker with high standards who takes genuine pride in delivering brilliant service.

Important: Interview Process & How to Apply
MANDATORY GROUP INTERVIEW DATE. Successful applicants will be invited to a Group Interview on Sunday, November 1st at 10:30 AM. Please do not apply if you cannot attend this session.

In your application please include how many hours you are looking for, and what your availibity is like. Please include any days that would be off-limits to work (for most or all weeks.)
