Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Breakfast Chef/Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a professional kitchen environment, specialising in breakfast and brunch service. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality breakfast dishes, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and delivering excellent service to our guests. Previous kitchen experience and a genuine enthusiasm for culinary arts are essential for this position.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and portioning.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout shifts.
  • Support the team during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of meals.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to create a safe working environment.
  • Assist with stock control, including receiving deliveries and storing ingredients appropriately.
  • Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas for breakfast offerings.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hotel setting.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques specific to breakfast dishes.

  • Experience in meal preparation and presentation at a professional level.
