Store Manager – Pepe's Piri Piri
Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Store Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Pepe's Piri Piri restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining operational standards, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.

As Store Manager, you will take full ownership of the restaurant's performance, ensuring compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and operational procedures while creating a positive workplace culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of daily restaurant operations to ensure excellent service, food quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve operational and business objectives.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage staff performance in line with company standards.
  • Monitor and control labour costs, food costs, stock levels, and wastage to maximise profitability.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in accordance with Pepe's quality standards and food safety requirements.
  • Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, HACCP, and company policies.
  • Analyse sales performance and implement local initiatives to drive revenue growth and customer engagement.
  • Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally and effectively.
  • Manage stock ordering, inventory control, and supplier relationships to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Conduct regular audits and checks to maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, banking procedures, and financial controls are followed.
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Skills & ExperienceEssential

  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar leadership role within a fast-paced restaurant, takeaway, or hospitality environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, health & safety, and operational compliance.
  • Experience managing labour scheduling, stock control, and cost management.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and perform under pressure.
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on driving sales and profitability.

Desirable

  • Experience within a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or branded restaurant environment.
  • Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
  • Experience using EPOS systems and restaurant management software.
  • Multi-site or high-volume restaurant experience.
