Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our vibrant bakery team in Wolverhampton. In this role, you will craft high-quality, handcrafted bread and baked goods, bringing fresh, delicious aromas to life each day. Your expertise in traditional baking techniques combined with a keen eye for detail will ensure our customers receive exceptional products that delight their senses. Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of artisan breads, ensuring consistency in flavour, texture, and appearance
  • Handle food preparation tasks including mixing, kneading, shaping, proofing, and baking dough with precision and care
  • Decorate baked goods with skillful cake decorating techniques when required for specialty items
  • Package baked products efficiently while maintaining freshness and presentation standards
  • Maintain strict food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with industry regulations
  • Assist with food production tasks such as pastry making and other bakery items to meet daily demand
  • Support the team in catering events or restaurant service by providing freshly baked goods and ensuring timely delivery
  • Shift patterns 3.30am- 12.30pm.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or culinary environments with a focus on bread making and sourdough.
  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with various baking equipment and tools
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and kitchen sanitation practices
  • Experience in food industry settings such as bakeries, restaurants, or catering services is highly desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills to engage with clients and respond to their preferences
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Passion for baking, culinary innovation, and delivering exceptional product experiences.
