About Us:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Manager to support our General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality, team leadership, and operational excellence.

The base salary is £32,500 per annum with a forecasted £4000 in tips per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations and a consistently high standard of service
  • Support the General Manager in implementing and maintaining restaurant standards and procedures
  • Supervise and motivate front- and back-of-house teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, or feedback in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with basic administrative duties including scheduling, stock control, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, hygiene standards, and licensing laws
  • Participate in staff training and development to foster a positive and performance-driven team culture
  • Contribute to team meetings and help identify opportunities for improvement

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in hospitality
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and make confident decisions
  • Basic understanding of administrative functions such as scheduling, stock management, and cash handling
  • Passion for food, service, and team development
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
