PREVIOUS hospitality supervisor level experience required

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our busy hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising front-of-house staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality, leadership, and culinary excellence to contribute to a vibrant team.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers and hosts, to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Oversee food preparation and serving processes, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
  • Assist with food production when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas
  • Manage reservations, organise seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive guest experience
  • Support team management by training new staff and providing ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area in accordance with health standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service flow during shifts

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
  • Extensive restaurant experience, including knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
  • Familiarity with hospitality operations, including serving, food production, and kitchen experience
  • Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
  • Strong leadership qualities combined with a friendly, professional demeanour
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to food service environments
