Company Overview

Ambiente Tapas is a small independent restaurant company dedicated to providing tapas in York, Leeds, Hull & Beverley. We pride ourselves on our innovative menu and exceptional dining experience.

Summary

We are looking for a talented Chef to join our team at Ambiente Tapas prep kitchen. Experience in a prep environment is preferred as it is a fast paced environment with bulk lifting and high volumes.

The role is Monday to Friday day times roughly 7am - 4pm (35-40 hours per week)

In this role, you will be responsible preparing high-quality dishes to send out to all our sites, ensuring spec is adhered to and dishes a checked for quality throughout the process.

We pay an hourly rate of £12.71 with tips through a tronc system on top, these work out between £4-£4.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of tapas dishes to the highest standards.
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality control.
  • Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies.
  • Assist in stock rotation
  • Packaging of products for delivery

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Solid work ethic & reliability.
