Pizza Chef - Lenny's - MJMK Restaurants

Lenny’s is a new pizzeria on Henrietta Street in Covent Garden,from Max Lewis and MJMK Restaurants. The result of Max’s extensive travels to New Haven,Connecticut,it is built around pizzas that are crispy,chewy and charred,a revival of his much-loved pop-up now finding a permanent home in the heart of Covent Garden. We’re building the opening team now.

We're looking for a Pizza Chef to join that opening team and own your section,working under the guidance of the Head Chef and Sous Chef. Consistency is everything here,so every pizza that comes off your station should match the last,crispy,chewy,charred,no exceptions. It's a genuine chance to build your pizza skills and help shape the standard from the very first service.

This is a hands-on,section-focused role,full of energy from the moment the doors open.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run your section through service,holding Lenny's standards on every plate.
  • Hit Lenny's specs on every pizza:crispy,chewy and charred,plate after plate.
  • Prep your section with speed and precision ahead of every service.
  • Follow stock rotation and storage procedures,flagging shortages promptly.
  • Stay sharp on food safety,HACCP and allergens,every shift.
  • Work cleanly and efficiently under pressure during busy services.
  • Support colleagues across sections when service demands it.
  • Bring energy and pride to every plate,so every pizza lands the way it should.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who takes real pride in their section and wants to build pizza skills in a brand new opening. You will bring:

  • Experience as a Chef de Partie,Demi Chef de Partie,or similar in a busy,quality led kitchen
  • Pizza or dough experience
  • A calm,focused approach to service under pressure
  • Working knowledge of food safety,HACCP,and allergens
  • Good communication and teamwork,with attention to detail and consistency
  • Reliability and a strong sense of ownership over your section
  • Real energy in the kitchen,every single shift
  • A drive for quality and a genuine love of the job

About MJMK Restaurants

MJMK Restaurants owns and operates a collection of award-winning restaurants. Founded in 2018 by lifelong friends Jake Kasumov and Marco Mendes,our journey began with Casa do Frango.

In 2020,we partnered with chef patron Santiago Lastra to open KOL,a restaurant in Marylebone celebrating Mexican cuisine with British ingredients. KOL has since earned a Michelin star and been named one of the World's 50 Best Restaurants.
