Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the necessary standards. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen. Hours are varied with the seasonal requirements that are the norm within a golf club environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established menus.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Assist in the planning of menus and daily specials, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.
