Restaurant Manager – Mele e Pere

About Us

At Mele e Pere, we’re an independent Italian restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of Soho. For over 15 years we’ve been known for proper hospitality, great pasta, serious cocktails and our house-made vermouth.

We’re passionate about classic drinks, seasonal Italian cooking, and creating a lively neighbourhood atmosphere where guests feel genuinely looked after.

We’re now looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to help lead the team and continue delivering the warm, energetic service we’re known for.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves hospitality, thrives in a busy restaurant environment, and takes pride in building strong teams and memorable guest experiences.

The Role

As Restaurant Manager you will oversee the day-to-day running of the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth service, high standards and a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff.

You’ll work closely with the owners and kitchen team to maintain the quality, personality and consistency that make Mele e Pere special.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth, confident and professional service.

Create a warm, engaging atmosphere on the floor and ensure every guest has a memorable experience.

Recruit, train, motivate and develop a strong front-of-house team.

Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure excellent communication between floor and pass.

Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and operational organisation.

Manage staff rotas, training and performance to build a confident and knowledgeable team.

Handle guest feedback and resolve issues with professionalism and care.

Monitor stock, ordering and cost controls to support efficient operations.

Support menu launches, drinks programmes and special events.

Maintain accurate records of sales, reports and operational performance.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a management role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.

A genuine passion for hospitality and creating great guest experiences.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Confidence running a busy service and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Good knowledge of food, wine and cocktails (Italian experience is a bonus).

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

A hands-on approach and a positive, solutions-focused attitude.

What We Offer

The chance to lead a well-loved independent Soho restaurant.

A supportive and collaborative working environment.

Opportunities to develop your hospitality and leadership skills.

Staff food, team tastings and training.

Competitive salary depending on experience.

If you’re someone who loves restaurants, cares deeply about hospitality, and enjoys leading a team in a lively environment, we’d love to hear from you.
