What does agency chef work involve?

As an agency chef, you will be required to:

• Prepare and cook meals to a high standard
• Dependent on environment you could work independently or as part of an established kitchen team
• Support with menu delivery and service
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Follow allergen procedures and food safety regulations
• Adapt quickly to new kitchens, teams, and service styles
• Manage your section effectively and work under pressure during busy periods

Assignments can vary depending on the site, but agency work is ideal for chefs who are reliable, adaptable, and passionate about food.

Compliance and support

We take compliance seriously and support our candidates through the registration process.

Depending on the role and sector, you may need:

• Food Hygiene certificate (Essential – dated within 3 years)
• Allergen Awareness certificate (Essential – Dated within 3 years)
• DBS check (Dependent on environment)
• Right to work in the UK
• Additional sector-specific clearances where required
