Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team at our Cafe. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation for food preparation and service. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a busy restaurant or hotel environment, with potential for career development in the culinary and hospitality sectors. The role involves supporting chefs and kitchen staff by managing cleaning duties, assisting with basic food preparation, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Working every Wednesday and Friday, you may be required to work extra during peak times.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and floors to uphold health and safety standards.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients under supervision.
  • Support the kitchen team in maintaining stock levels and organising storage areas efficiently.
  • Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
  • Assist with serving dishes or assisting waitstaff during busy periods as required.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed promptly to facilitate smooth kitchen operations.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
