Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen environment, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and efficient food preparation. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to develop their skills within the hospitality industry. Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure all work surfaces are sanitised and organised at all times to meet health and safety standards.
  • Support with the storage of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper rotation and labelling.
