Full job description

Job Summary:
We are looking for an EXPERIENCED, professional parttime or fulltime chef to help drive our food offer forward with a passion for fresh homemade dishes. The Wenvoe Arms is a busy and thriving village pub with a great reputation for fresh, homemade seasonal food and excellent service.

We are offering a FOUR day week. You will be required to work evenings and lunchtimes throughout the week and weekends. There will be some split shifts and some straight shifts.

NOTE: our kitchens are closed:

  • Sunday and Monday.
  • What's not to like?!

CHRISTMAS OFF ! : we do not open our kitchens:

  • Christmas Eve night.
  • Christmas Day.
  • Boxing Day.
  • NYE night.
  • NYD
  • Yes you get Christmas off !!!

Duties:

  • Prepare and cook excellent food to a high standard.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area.
  • Adhere to food and safety regulations and standards at all times.
  • To work well as a team member.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in a similar public house/restaurant environment (not takeaways).
  • Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods.
  • Strong knowledge of food and safety practices as laid down by the Environmental Health Authority.
  • Able to work hard under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
