The Opportunity

We are looking for an energetic and personable Bar Manager to create a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a brand-new, fully renovated restaurant with a dedicated custom built bar to help you deliver excellence with ease.

Key Responsibilities

• Staff Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise bartenders, barbacks, and floor staff. Lead daily team briefings and evaluate performance.
• Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular stock-takes, order beverages and supplies, and manage supplier relationships. Oversee cellar and line cleaning.
• Financial & Cost Control: Track daily sales, control labor costs, manage profit margins (GPs), and handle cashup procedures.
• Customer Service: Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, making them feel instantly at home. Take bar orders accurately and efficiently using POS system. Serve drinks with professionalism and attentiveness. Collaborate with other team members to deliver seamless service during busy periodsWelcome guests, maintain a welcoming atmosphere, and resolve any customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to licensing laws, age-verification rules, and health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven background in hospitality with previous supervisory or management experience in a busy bar or restaurant setting. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Experience in serving, bartending, and barista roles is required
• Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Leadership: Strong communication skills to motivate a dynamic team and handle high-pressure service periods.
• Business Acumen: Good understanding of financial targets, stock management, and profit-and-loss controls.
• Licensing: A personal licence for the sale of alcohol is desirable
