Part-Time Kitchen Assistant

Join our friendly, family-run restaurant team!

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Part-Time Kitchen Assistant to join our busy family-run restaurant. This is a varied, hands-on role working closely with our chefs and front-of-house team across breakfast and lunch service.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about food, enjoys working as part of a team, and takes pride in delivering great food and service.

About the Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting our chefs with food preparation and cooking.
  • Helping with breakfast and lunch service.
  • Preparing and serving food to a high standard.
  • Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation and food hygiene.
  • Working closely with our existing chefs and wider restaurant team.
  • Providing a friendly and professional experience for our guests.
  • Helping to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during busy periods.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have at least 1 year’s experience in a kitchen or cooking role.
  • Have experience working in a high-volume, busy kitchen.
  • Have a genuine passion for cooking and good attention to detail.
  • Are passionate about using fresh, seasonal and local produce.
  • Take pride in your personal presentation and work standards.
  • Are confident and comfortable communicating with both guests and colleagues.
  • Are highly organised and able to work calmly under pressure.
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Have good communication and team-working skills.
  • Bring a positive attitude, enthusiasm and a sense of fun to the workplace.

Hours & Pay

  • 24 hours per week, over a minimum of 3 days.
  • 7:30am–4:00pm working hours.
  • Optional overtime available.
  • £13.00 per hour starting rate, with a pay review following the 3-month probationary period.
  • Occasional evening functions and outside catering.

We are closed on: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
