Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Staff member to join our vibrant team. Ideally 3-4 shifts per week minimum. Must be available Monday evenings and Weekends.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests while ensuring the bar operates smoothly and efficiently. You will lead by example, showcasing your bartending skills and knowledge of beverages, while also mentoring junior staff members. Your passion for hospitality and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organised bar area, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Be able to handle responsibility of Opening and Closing.
  • Have experience in Cellar maintenance including changing barrels, Gas and Cask Ales.
  • Manage stock levels, including ordering supplies and monitoring inventory.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and responding to their needs promptly.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, applying basic maths skills as needed.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a bartending role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A friendly demeanour with outstanding communication skills, enabling you to connect with customers effectively.
  • Familiarity with various beverage types, including cocktails, wines, and spirits is highly desirable.
  • A proactive attitude towards helping others within the team is essential for fostering a positive work environment.
