Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Grill Chef, with butchery knowledge, for a full time position at The Anchor Pub in Tilsworth.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist in the organisation and management of designated sections within the kitchen.
  • Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control, ensuring ingredients are stored correctly.
  • Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative ideas and seasonal specials.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and uphold the organisation’s reputation for excellence in culinary standards.

Experience

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
  • Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment is desirable.
  • Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary practices across diverse cuisines is advantageous.
