Overview

We are seeking an experienced Waiting Staff member to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and have a solid background in restaurant operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where attention to detail, efficiency, and a friendly demeanour are essential. Previous experience in food service and a good understanding of food safety standards are highly valued. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing outstanding service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and efficiently take orders with accuracy and professionalism
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper handling of all food items
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, supporting kitchen staff when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
  • Manage guest requests promptly and courteously, resolving any issues to ensure satisfaction
  • Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system, including processing cash and card transactions
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills to balance multiple tables efficiently

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service, ideally within a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques
  • Experience with food preparation and basic kitchen procedures is advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
  • Excellent guest service skills, with a friendly and professional attitude
  • Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest experience and sales revenue
  • Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
  • Previous culinary or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential
  • A genuine passion for hospitality coupled with a proactive approach to guest satisfaction
