Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Inside Grill/Fryer Worker to join our busy kitchen team. This role involves preparing and cooking food items using grills and fryers, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. The successful candidate will play a vital part in delivering excellent meal experiences to our customers in a fast-paced environment. Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items for cooking using grills and fryers, following established recipes and procedures
  • Cook food to the correct temperature and consistency, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cooking area, including sanitising equipment and surfaces regularly
  • Monitor cooking times and adjust heat levels as necessary to prevent overcooking or burning
  • Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
  • Assist with meal preparation and presentation to ensure timely service during busy periods
  • Support other kitchen staff with general duties as required, including stock rotation and waste management
  • Ensure all equipment is operated safely and report any maintenance issues promptly

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a restaurant environment is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required
  • A positive attitude, team spirit, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role

Pay: £12.21-£17.10 per hour
