Clogau is a premium British jewellery brand, with Welsh Heritage, celebrated for craftsmanship, heritage and meaningful design. We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our Bridgend Outlet, delivering an exceptional and personalised customer experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with customers, working as part of a team and providing a high standard of service. You will play an important role in representing the Clogau brand, sharing our story and helping customers find jewellery that is meaningful to them.

The Role: Sales Assistant

Location: Bridgend

Working Hours: 14 hours per week

Salary: £26,500 per annum pro rata which equates to £9,275 per annum + commission.

Working Pattern:

• Tuesday 09:30 - 15:30
• Thursday 16:30 - 20:30
• Saturday 16:30 - 20:30

The Role

As a Sales Assistant, you will act as a brand ambassador for Clogau, providing customers with an exceptional in-store experience and contributing to the achievement of the boutique's sales and service goals.

You will take the time to understand each customer's needs, using your product knowledge and the Clogau story to create a personalised and memorable experience.

Working closely with your colleagues and Store Management team, you will also support the smooth day-to-day operation of the boutique and help maintain the high standards expected across our stores.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional and personalised customer service, ensuring every customer receives a positive and memorable experience.
• Build relationships with customers through a friendly, professional and consultative approach to selling.
• Contribute to the achievement of individual and boutique sales and service goals.
• Identify and maximise sales opportunities while ensuring the customer's needs remain at the heart of the experience.
• Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of Clogau products, collections, heritage and brand story.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the boutique operates efficiently and delivers consistently high standards.
• Use the store EPOS system accurately to process purchases, refunds and other customer transactions.
• Support stock control processes, including stock takes, and ensure stock is handled and stored securely throughout the day.
• Maintain exceptional boutique presentation, including cleanliness, displays and overall appearance, in line with Clogau's standards.
• Support the security of the boutique by following company security procedures and remaining vigilant at all times.
• Handle customer questions and service queries professionally, escalating to Store Management where appropriate.
• Complete required training and e-learning to continually develop product knowledge, customer service and selling skills.
• Uphold Clogau's brand values, heritage and service standards at all times.

To be considered for this role you will have the following experience, skills and attributes;

• Eligibility to work within the UK
• Successfully pass DBS check
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to maximise sales opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-Motivation to complete your tasks and maintain your product knowledge.

Please note: The successful candidate will spend their first week at Head Office, North Wales. You must be able to commit to the working pattern. The company reserves the right to close the vacancy early.
