Job description

Pay: £13/hour during probation, increasing to £14.00/hour upon successful probation.

Are you an experienced cleaner, do you have hospitality experience, strong organisational skills, and a passion for maintaining beautiful spaces? We’re looking for an All-Rounder to join our family-run countryside B&B.

Your Role as An All-Rounder

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on cleaning duties and organisational responsibilities. You’ll join our team in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation that our guests love.

Key Responsibilities:
Your job will be varied, and you will be trained to do these duties by our team.

  • Overseeing the cleaning and preparation of our accommodation and spa facilities to ensure they are spotless and guest-ready.
  • Coordinating and helping housekeeping staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Managing laundry operations, including washing and replenishing sheets, towels, and robes.
  • Keeping public areas clean and welcoming for guests.
  • Monitoring and restocking essential cleaning supplies, mini-bars, and guest amenities in rooms and communal areas.
  • Conducting fire and health & safety checks as part of the team.
  • Ensuring that outdoor areas and gardens are tidy and well-kept (perfect for those who love working outdoors).
  • Assisting with the preparation and delivery of breakfast hampers and afternoon tea for guests when needed.
  • Greeting guests, helping them during their stay and making them feel welcome.

What You Need to Know

  • This is a physically active role, as our property is large, with multiple staircases and outdoor spaces. If you’re someone who enjoys being on the move, this is a great fit.
  • The role requires strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills—if you love making spaces look ‘just so’ and take pride in your work, we’d love to hear from you.
  • This role also requires some customer contact, so if you love front of house type roles - get in touch.
  • You’ll be responsible for stock control of cleaning products, toiletries, and mini-bar items, ensuring supplies are maintained and re-ordered as needed.

Availability & Working Hours

We are looking for someone available 30-35 hours per week, including one weekend day every week. Our working hours are between 8am and 6:30pm (no early mornings or night shifts).

Your Weekly Schedule:

  • Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Saturday: Off
  • Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Monday & Tuesday: Off

Please apply only if you are available during school holidays and half terms, as these are busy periods for our business.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re a small, family-run business looking for dedicated, hardworking, and kind individuals who want a long-term role in hospitality.

We welcome applications from working mums and grandmums looking for stable, above-minimum wage employment with fixed contracts (no zero-hour contracts). Most of our team have been with us for 2-4 years, and we’re looking for someone who wants to become part of our close-knit team.

What You’ll Need to Apply

  • Hospitality, cleaning, or housekeeping experience (B&Bs, hotels, care work, catering, or similar roles).
  • A keen eye for detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Ability to drive & access to a car – our location is a working farm, and public transport is not an option.
  • Strong organisational skills – you will be responsible for coordinating stock and cleaning tasks across multiple properties.
  • Reliability and teamwork – we support each other, and flexibility to help colleagues when needed is important.

Perks of Working With Us

  • Work on a beautiful Grade II listed farm surrounded by nature.
  • A caring management team that understands the needs of working parents.
  • Day off on your birthday.
  • Bi-annual staff parties (family members welcome).
  • Compassionate leave & fuel bonus.
  • Bonus holiday reward: After 1.5 years of service, you and your family (up to 4 guests) can enjoy a 7-day holiday at our sister business in Austria.
  • Fixed contracts with proper holiday entitlements & SSP.
