Job Title: Self-Employed Van Driver / Exterior Cleaning Operative

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated individual to join our growing businesses, BHP Removals and Moss Off Exterior Cleaning.

This is a self-employed opportunity offering ongoing work across both businesses, with the potential to develop into a regular, long-term working arrangement.

Please note that work will initially be limited while the businesses continue to expand. We are looking for someone who understands this and is interested in growing alongside the companies.

The successful applicant will be responsible for driving company vehicles, assisting with removal jobs and carrying out various exterior cleaning services.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving company vans safely and professionally.
• Assisting with domestic and commercial removals.
• Loading and unloading furniture and household belongings.
• Operating pressure washing and exterior cleaning equipment.
• Assisting with roof cleaning, driveway cleaning, patio cleaning and other exterior cleaning services.
• Maintaining company vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Following health and safety procedures.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
• Maintaining a professional appearance and positive attitude.

Requirements

• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Previous van driving experience preferred.
• Experience in removals, exterior cleaning or pressure washing would be advantageous.
• Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work.
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
• Must be self-employed or willing to register as self-employed.
• Appropriate public liability insurance required.
• Flexible availability depending on business requirements.

Pay and Opportunities

Rates of pay will be discussed during the interview process and will depend on previous experience, skills, reliability and the standard of work provided.

As both businesses continue to expand, there will be opportunities for increased workloads, additional responsibilities and improved earning potential.
