Head Housekeeper - Trent Bridge - West Bridgford

Our brand new care home in West Bridgford is looking for you! Opening date: TBC

Trent Bridge Care Home consists of 72 bedrooms, arranged over four floors. Each community has 18 bedrooms, lounge, dining room and a kitchenette. The home also has a bistro / café area, cinema, spa area, garden room and cinema. Trent Bridge's roof terrace is its crowning glory with stunning views over Nottingham - even the castle in the distance can be seen.

We are looking for a strong individual to create a supportive team of housekeepers and to keep the home at high levels of cleanliness they deserve.

The hours of work are 8am to 6pm including weekend work.

As a Head Housekeeper you will be responsible for management of overall cleanliness and hygiene of Trent Bridge and to supervise, train and support the team of housekeepers and laundry staff.

There are many levels to this position and some of the responsibilities are:

· Maintain & prioritise the workload of, and allocate tasks to, domestic and laundry staff

· Ensure all areas of the home are clean and tidy

· Create and maintain cleaning regimes (daily, weekly, periodically etc.) for all areas of the care home

· Dusting, vacuuming and washing down of all areas

· Polishing of mirrors and furniture (as applicable)

· Dusting of all ledges, pictures, high areas and skirting boards

· Dry Cleaning & Shampooing of carpets

· Cleaning of curtains and furniture

· Emptying/cleaning of waste bins

· Restocking of toiletries, soaps, towels etc

· Understand and ensure the implementation of the care homes Health & Safety policy, Emergency and Fire procedures and COSHH

· Ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe, clean and efficient working condition

· Prepare housekeeping rotas reflecting the appropriate cleaning times of the care home

· Supervise and instruct junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the care home, giving help and guidance where appropriate
