Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various tasks on-site, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. You will be working with solar PV installations, which will involve working at heights on roofs, as well as basic painting & decorating.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
  • Perform general site maintenance and cleaning to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate basic hand tools and machinery as required, following all safety protocols.
  • Support skilled tradespeople in their tasks, providing assistance where needed.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to team efforts in completing projects on time.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, reporting any hazards or incidents immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a labouring role is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 25 kg).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as required.
  • Commitment to health and safety practices on site.
