Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plastering techniques and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
Duties
- Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using various techniques to achieve a smooth finish.
- Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and applying bonding agents as necessary.
- Mix plaster according to specifications and ensure the correct consistency for application.
- Knowledge in DPC works, including tanking slurry, renderlite, chemical injection is desirable.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out plastering tasks.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and bricklayers, to ensure seamless integration of work.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored safely.
- Conduct repairs on existing plasterwork, including patching and re-skimming as required.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times while on-site.
- Working in social housing properties.
- Working on large schemes and refurbishments.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering tasks.
- Familiarity with masonry techniques is advantageous.
- Knowledge of roof structures and the ability to work at heights may be required for certain projects.
- Previous experience in DPC works.
- Driving License essential
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members effectively.
