Loft Labourer / Spray Foam Removal Operative – NN4 Start Point

Job Type: Temporary 3-month contract, with potential to become permanent
Pay: £140–£160 per day, depending on experience, reliability, output and suitability

  • Are physically fit and comfortable working in hot, dusty loft spaces

About the Role

We are looking for reliable, hard-working operatives to join our loft and spray foam removal team.

This is not casual labouring. The work is physically demanding and involves specialist removal and remediation work inside loft spaces. You will be working on mortgage-critical properties where quality, pace, reliability and attention to detail are essential.

Typical duties include:

  • Removing spray foam insulation
  • Scraping and cleaning roof timbers
  • Vacuuming and preparing lofts for inspection
  • Removing and installing loft insulation
  • Loft boarding and associated loft works where required
  • Working in confined loft spaces while wearing PPE
  • Keeping jobs clean, organised and moving efficiently
  • Following instructions carefully
  • Maintaining high site standards

This is physically demanding work. You must be comfortable working in hot, dusty and confined loft spaces for full working days.

Hours and Travel

The role is typically 4 days per week, with occasional 5-day weeks during busy periods.

Days can be long depending on the job location. Travel is part of the role. You must be willing to work nationwide and stay away overnight when required.

Starting pay is £140–£160 per day, depending on experience, reliability, output and suitability.

There is potential for the right person to progress into a Team Leader role over time.

  • Must be over 18
  • Must live within 20 minutes of NN4 8BD, Northampton
  • Must be available to start on Monday 15th June 2026
  • Physically fit and able to work full days in lofts
  • Comfortable working in hot, dusty and confined spaces
  • Reliable, punctual and hard-working
  • Able to maintain pace and standards on site

Helpful but Not Essential

  • Loft insulation experience
  • Spray foam removal or loft remediation experience
  • Roofing, construction or labouring experience
  • Hand and power-tool experience
  • CSCS card
  • Full UK driving licence
