Specialist Cleaning Technician

Location: Durham, Tyne and Wear, Cleveland
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Job Type: Part-time, Full-time and contract

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Specialist Cleaning Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in a range of specialist cleaning and restoration services. You will work across commercial, industrial, and residential environments, delivering high-quality results while maintaining exceptional health and safety standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

Ideal applicants will have proven experience in any of the following areas:

• Hot Water Extraction (HWE) carpet cleaning
• Upholstery cleaning
• Hard floor restoration, polishing, and maintenance
• Tile and grout cleaning and restoration
• Pressure washing and soft washing
• Commercial kitchen extraction and canopy cleaning
• Water damage restoration and drying
• Mould remediation and treatment
• Pure water window cleaning systems
• Biohazard and specialist decontamination cleaning
• Roof cleaning, moss removal, and treatment

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist cleaning and restoration services to a professional standard.
• Operate specialist cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Assess cleaning requirements and recommend appropriate treatment methods.
• Complete work in accordance with company procedures and industry best practices.
• Maintain accurate job records and reports.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service on every project.

Desirable Qualifications

The following certifications or training would be advantageous:

• Carpet and upholstery cleaning certifications
• Water damage restoration training
• Mould remediation certification
• Biohazard cleaning training
• IPAF, PASMA, or Working at Height certification
• Full UK driving licence
• CSCS card
