A1 Jobs are currently recruiting for a Traditional Roof Slater/Roof Tiler to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret drawings accurately. The Roof Slater will be responsible for ensuring that all installations are completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

My client is a well-established company based in Glasgow who are known for their quality work and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

· Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas, ensuring precise alignment and spacing.

· Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, levelling, and applying adhesive as needed.

· Lay tiles in accordance with design plans, ensuring proper placement and adherence.

· Use hand tools and equipment effectively to achieve high-quality finishes.

· Perform heavy lifting as required to transport materials and tools to job sites.

· Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and masons, to complete projects efficiently.

· Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the duration of each project.

· Follow safety protocols while working on-site, particularly when using scaffolding or ladders.

Requirements

· Experience in undertaking high quality slating, tiling and flat roofing works.

· Experience working on both residential and commercial projects as required.

· Collaborating with the team to meet project deadlines and deliver high standards of works.

· Ensure all compliance with health and safety and quality standards are maintained throughout each project.

· Working independently and as part of a team on various projects.

· Comfortable and experienced with working at heights.

· Driving license would be preferred but not essential.

· A keen eye for detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
