Exterior Cleaning & Bird Proofing Operative

Full-time | Based from Kinmel Bay | Overtime & working-away opportunities

SERVOS is an established exterior cleaning and bird-control company working across North Wales, Cheshire, Liverpool, Manchester and the wider North West, with occasional projects further afield.

As the business continues to grow, we are looking for another reliable, practical and hard-working Field Operative to join our small team.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work and wants a job where no two days are exactly the same.

Previous experience within exterior cleaning, roofing, property maintenance, facilities, construction or working at height would be an advantage, but the right attitude and work ethic are equally important. Training can be provided for the right person.

• Works well as part of a small team but can also work independently when required
• Is comfortable speaking professionally with both residential customers and commercial clients
• Is flexible regarding start and finish times when projects require it
• Is willing to occasionally work evenings, weekends or away from home
• Is comfortable working at height where suitably trained and equipped

A full UK driving licence is essential, and applicants must meet the requirements of our company vehicle insurance.

The work

Our projects vary considerably from day to day and include both residential and commercial properties.

Services include:

• Commercial building and façade cleaning
• Roof cleaning and softwashing
• Render cleaning
• Cladding cleaning and restoration
• Stone and brick cleaning
• Steam cleaning
• Pressure and hot-water cleaning
• Graffiti removal
• Gutter cleaning
• Fascia and soffit cleaning
• High-level cleaning
• Drain cleaning
• Bird proofing, including netting, spikes, wire and other systems
• Roof and gutter maintenance
• Gutter lining and protective coating systems
• Specialist cleaning and restoration projects

Some projects involve working at height, roof access, MEWPs, specialist cleaning equipment and chemical cleaning systems. Full training will be provided where required.

Additional responsibilities

As part of a small field team, you will also help with:

• Preparing equipment and materials for jobs
• Keeping company vans clean, tidy and organised
• Maintaining tools and equipment
• Monitoring stock and consumable levels
• Completing basic job documentation
• Liaising professionally with customers on site
• Working away when required

Working away attracts additional pay and a food allowance.

Hours & pay

This is a full-time position.

The advertised salary/rate represents the basic rate. Regular overtime and additional payments for certain work mean actual earnings will often be higher than the basic rate.

Our working days vary depending on location and project requirements, so some earlier starts and later finishes should be expected.
