Our Food & Beverage teams are at the heart of the guest experience at Staverton Park Hotel, and we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic Food & Beverage Assistants to join us.

Our busiest periods are around breakfast, so this role would suit someone who enjoys an early start and getting stuck in. However, flexibility is important as our Food & Beverage team supports the whole operation, from breakfast through to evening service, conferences, events and banqueting.

You’ll be one of the people our guests see throughout their stay, so a warm, friendly approach and a genuine desire to give great service are just as important as experience.

What you'll be doing

You’ll help make sure our restaurants, bars and events spaces run smoothly and that guests receive friendly, efficient service from the moment they arrive.

Your day could include:

• Preparing and setting up for breakfast, lunch, dinner, conferences and events
• Taking food and drink orders and delivering them efficiently and accurately
• Ensuring food and drinks are presented correctly and served with everything the guest needs
• Providing friendly and attentive service throughout the guest experience
• Supporting service across our Restaurant, Bar, Room Service, Conference & Events and Banqueting operations
• Keeping tables, service areas and back-of-house areas clean, tidy and well presented
• Completing preparation, cleaning and other side duties before, during and after service
• Developing a good knowledge of our menus and products so you can confidently answer guest questions
• Supporting upselling opportunities where appropriate
• Listening to guests and helping resolve any queries or concerns
• Working closely with colleagues across Food & Beverage and other departments
• Following food safety, allergen, hygiene and Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Completing required training and taking an active interest in developing your skills

What we're looking for

You don't necessarily need years of experience — what matters most is having the right attitude and approach to hospitality.

Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, bar or similar customer-facing environment is preferred, but attitude and a genuine passion for providing great service are just as important.

Flexible working

This is a casual position, so shifts are offered according to the needs of the business and are not guaranteed.

Breakfast is a key part of the role, so you could be working shifts from around 6am to 3pm. However, you’ll need to be comfortable working a mixture of shifts, including 3pm until finish, depending on the operation.

There may also be opportunities to work across conferences, events, banqueting and evening service, so this role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and can be flexible with their availability.

Weekend availability is essential.
