Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plastering techniques and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role involves applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth finish, and preparing surfaces for painting or decorating. A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, smoothing, and applying bonding agents as necessary.
- Mix plaster according to specifications and apply it using appropriate techniques.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to achieve desired finishes.
- Repair existing plasterwork, including patching holes and cracks.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and bricklayers, to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance before final sign-off.
Experience
- Proven experience in plastering or a related field is essential.
- Familiarity with the use of power tools, hand tools, and welding techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in masonry or bricklaying will be considered a plus.
- Ability to work on roofs or elevated surfaces safely is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
