Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Commercial Cleaning Technician to join our growing team. Full training will be provided, so previous specialist cleaning experience is not essential.

The role covers a variety of services across our Lex Hygiene and Blue Whale Soft Wash Systems businesses, including commercial kitchen extract and duct cleaning, ventilation cleaning, kitchen deep cleans, fire damper testing, softwashing, render cleaning, roof and gutter cleaning, pressure washing and commercial exterior cleaning.

This is a hands-on role involving travel to commercial and residential sites across South Yorkshire and Yorkshire. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is comfortable working outdoors and at height, has a full UK driving licence, and is keen to learn new skills.

There are excellent opportunities to develop your skills and progress from Trainee Technician to Senior or Lead Technician as you gain experience.

Duties

• Carry out commercial cleaning and hygiene work at customer premises.
• Clean commercial kitchen extract systems, grease ducts and ventilation systems.
• Carry out kitchen deep cleans and specialist commercial cleaning.
• Assist with fire damper testing and associated cleaning work.
• Carry out exterior cleaning using softwashing and pressure-washing systems.
• Clean roofs, gutters, render, patios, driveways, cladding and other external surfaces.
• Carry out commercial window cleaning where required.
• Work safely at height and use ladders, access equipment and specialist equipment following training.
• Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and specialist cleaning equipment.
• Set up, operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Protect customer property and surrounding areas while carrying out cleaning work.
• Complete jobs to the company's required quality standards.
• Take before-and-after photographs and complete job sheets and service records.
• Follow company health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
• Work at different commercial and residential locations across South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
• Work outside normal business hours where required, including early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts.
• Work independently or as part of a team depending on the requirements of the job.
• Keep company vehicles, equipment and work areas clean, tidy and well maintained.
• Undertake ongoing training to develop skills across both commercial hygiene and exterior cleaning.
• Represent Lex Hygiene and Blue Whale Soft Wash Systems professionally at all times.

• Previous experience in cleaning, construction, window cleaning, pressure washing, roofing, property maintenance, facilities management or another practical trade is desirable but not essential
• No previous duct cleaning or softwashing experience required – full training will be provided

Pay: From £110.00 per day
