An exciting role is available, full-time, at Seventa Events as our Logistics & Event Equipment manager.
Day to day, work in the Warehouse, but with a desk in the adjoined head office for all planning and logistics time. Plus of course, being out on site(s) when required.
The role involves managing the store of equipment we have, planning logistics of getting it from A to B, and also working year-round within the team(s) planning our Christmas sites.
Your role is vital to the success of our brands Innovative Hire and our Christmas sites.
Working in our head office, based in Bournemouth, with adjoined Warehousing. You will be responsible for keeping our Warehouse store organised, planning equipment getting from A to B, and working with internal teams on all things logistics for our Christmas sites.
Skills; Time Management, Attention to Detail, Organised Mind, Forklift license preferable.
Container Bar Installation Our range of 20ft & 40ft Container Bars are going out weekly to events and festivals around the UK during the summer season, you would be responsible for the following:
- Ensuring the container is ready for the hire, making sure it is cleaned and has the necessary equipment in it, as per the clients requirements.
- Ensuring the equipment in the container is suitably loaded for lifting and transport by a hiab crane, e.g. fridges are strapped in, there is nothing loose that can fall and break.
- Ensuring that all the correct components are picked and packed, e.g. container feet/chocking, bolts (where required).
- Going to site with the container, liaising with the client onsite to ensure the container is placed in the correct location.
- As the container is lifted by the hiab crane, ensuring that the container is level and in the correct position.
- Where required, assemble the roof terrace (working at height).
- Sign off from the client and signing the container over to them for the period of the hire.
Logistics & Planning Where required, there will an expectation to be involved in the logistical planning of Innovative Hire, Seventa Events and our Christmas Markets. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Arranging haulage for container hires and large furniture hires.
- Planning lorry loads of large kit, making use of room in the most efficient and effective way.
- Negotiating costs and making best use of space/transport.
- Arranging crew for event sites and warehouse, when required.
- Being involved in the planning stages/meetings of Bournemouth & Cambridge Christmas Markets, to plan crew, lorry loads and warehouse movements.
Christmas From the end of October, we are onsite at Bournemouth & Cambridge Christmas Markets, with at least six weeks of prep leading up to this. You would be responsible for the following:
- Arranging the lorry loads, to make the best use of space/time.
- Ensuring the right kit is going to the right Market/Site.
- Making sure the kit is ready to go to the site and arranging maintenance, where necessary.
- Managing the loads leaving our warehouse in Wallisdown and Blandford Forum.
- Be involved in the months of planning prior, with all stakeholders internally.
Day-To-Day Role Although no two days are ever the same, below is the general expectations of the role on a day-to-day basis:
- Ensuring the warehouse is maintained to a high standard at all times - any hires are put away quickly, or quarantined if broken.
- Ensuring hire items (furniture, props and containers) are maintained to a high standard and are always ready for events/external hires.
- General upkeep and ordering consumables for the warehouse, e.g. cleaning supplies, fixings, parts for maintenance etc.
- Maintaining vehicles, ensuring they are working as the should be, keeping on top of oil, fuel and cleanliness. Arranging MOTs and services.
- Innovative Hire: Assisting the Account Manager in the logistical planning of event hires, e.g. crew, haulage, pre-hire works and liaising directly with clients.
- Innovative Hire: Managing goods in/out the warehouse when there is a hire. Loading of vehicles and managing crew members.
- Christmas Markets: Being involved in the planning meetings and preparation for our Christmas Markets.
