The Role

We are looking for an experienced Roofer to join our team, with skills in pitched and flat roofing, including tiling, slating, and GRP fibreglass roofing.

You will work on a variety of residential and occasional commercial properties across Cheshire, carrying out new installations, re-roofing, maintenance, and repairs. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can deliver a reliable, professional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing and replacing roof tiles and slates.
  • Stripping and re-covering pitched and flat roofs.
  • Installing, repairing, and renewing flat roofing systems, including GRP (fibreglass), felt, and EPDM rubber roofing, according to experience.
  • Carrying out GRP fibreglass roofing work, including deck preparation, fitting trims, laminating, and applying topcoat.
  • Identifying leaks, diagnosing roofing faults, and carrying out effective repairs.
  • Repairing and renewing ridges, hips, valleys, flashings, and roof junctions.
  • Preparing and replacing roof decking and insulation where required.
  • Completing all work safely and in line with relevant industry standards and manufacturers’ instructions.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and professional work site.

Requirements

  • Proven roofing experience, including pitched roofs, tiling, and slating.
  • Practical experience in flat roofing and GRP fibreglass installation and repairs.
  • Experience with additional flat roofing systems, such as felt and EPDM rubber, would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing repairs, weatherproofing, and leak detection.
  • Ability to work confidently and safely at height.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
