Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team specializing in fire door installation, maintenance, and repairs across London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of construction and refurbishment projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance. As a vital part of our team, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire-rated doors that meet all relevant safety regulations. Your expertise will help protect lives and property, making a real difference in the communities we serve.

Duties

  • Install fire doors in new construction sites and existing buildings following detailed schematics and safety standards
  • Conduct thorough inspections of fire doors to ensure proper operation, integrity, and compliance with fire safety regulations
  • Repair or replace damaged or faulty fire doors using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, masons, electricians, and welders to coordinate installation and maintenance tasks
  • Use power tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipment to modify or fabricate components as needed
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance documentation
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols during all phases of work to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with fire doors or in related construction fields such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or carpentry
  • Strong knowledge of schematics, construction drawings, and technical specifications related to fire safety systems
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and construction painting techniques
  • Familiarity with masonry work and plastering is a plus for integrated building projects
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics and safety regulations accurately
  • Construction experience with a focus on safety standards and quality assurance is essential
  • Relevant certifications or training in fire door installation or related trades are highly desirable
